Let's talk about the role and responsibilities:
You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks. Support cyber security initiatives through both predictive and reactive analysis, articulating emerging trends to leadership and staff. Coordinate resources during enterprise incident response efforts, driving incidents to timely and complete resolution.
- Perform the following functions as individual assignments or as part of a team:
- Provide support in the cyber security operations in the following areas:
- Email Security
- Monitor and detect
- Incident response
- Vulnerability assessment
- Identify anomalous and malicious activity
- Contribute to content creation, prioritise, rank and escalated incidents.
- Collate, track and analyse information about internet-based malware related criminal activities.
- Conduct research and evaluate technical and all-source intelligence, including network operations and Cyberspace operations tactics, techniques, and procedures focused on the threat to information networks.
- Prepare assessments and Cyber threat profiles of current events based on the collection, research, and analysis of classified and open source information.
- Assist in forensic duties including host and network-based log analysis, correlation of network threat indicators and PCAP data, analytical triage and prioritisation of concurrent incidents, incident timeline generation, root cause analysis and remediation, independent generation of customised scripts to facilitate analysis and preparation of detailed written reports.
- Comply with legislation and Company policies, processes and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, environment, safety, duty of care, and the quality management system.
Let's talk about your qualifications and experience:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Relevant working experience and specialised training that is commensurate with the role.
- Demonstrated pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company's objectives.
- Good understanding of relevant technologies and domains
- Good understanding of the system lifecycle using standard methods and techniques/tools
